Did you guys check your run files yet? I got different numbers on mine. I think imma put those numbers in my sig :lildevil:
Tom, I'm really pissed we didn't log your runs. It would have told us a lot. We should set something up to scan your tune. Looking at our numbers, it looks like the same friggin car. Your missing something.
Side note: I got a tune from another Maggied 05 V. A few things look a little more aggressive. I'll upload it, and start loggin next couple days. See if it's a noticeable difference.
I think my issue can pretty much be attributable to the IATs being so high. Besides pulling timing, my A/F is quite a bit richer than yours toward redline. Check it out, where you stay right at about 12 all the way up, my starts getting richer at about 5000 rpms and up. That's why my tq and hp start to fall off and yours stays up. Roshan also kept my tune on the safe side from the start as I was approaching 7 psi and have I no desire to blow anything up.
EDIT: I am not seeing different numbers on the runs files...
One thing I did when I had the 112 was replace the thermister in the iat sensor with a faster acting one. theyre available from Omega engineering. It still read high at idle and in traffic, but as soon as the air started moving it came down alot faster than with the stock sensor.
Can you take some pics of the sensor. I'd like to see what it looks like w/out taking mine off. I PM'd the guy a little while ago.
You wont gain hp with just meth, but with better IATs, you wont lose as much in this weather. I'm on a HUGE learning curve right now, so don't mind me if I say something totaly different next week :cookoo:
sorry guys my computer is shot... cant get to my email to check my sheet... as soon as i get it i will post it... best was 338hp 331tq and a/f was 13 the whole way through...
was a great time..
and i will get the pics from my friend because he took alot and some vids...

If magnuson adjusted the timing table like this then it's safe to assume there is no chance of detonation on 93 oct. with that being said I dont have a blower on the car and may in fact see gains as well by doing this mod as well right?? Although a tune is where the real benefit lies (currently stock tune).Im curious how much HP its worth
Which hole do you mean, where the actual sensor is or when you plug in the pigtail connector? I couldn't get an in-focus closeup of it because my camera sucks.

The one in the blower. When the senso comes in, I wanna see if I can get a longer thermistor on. Or at least one that can adjust as quickly as the air temp going through it.
There is also a link to buy the "better" thermistor from Omega. It's $15.
I think I am going to let you tackle this first since you have all the scanning and logging equipment and software. If you do it, you'll actuallly be able to tell if it works or not. I would just be guessing.

That one LS6 'Vette put down 390hp, ran 12.02 1/4-mile, with only headers, cold air intake, catless exhaust, mufflers and a mail order tune. I was impressed. The Caddy should be able to do it too or at least close to it.
It's just one 10 mm bolt that holds that little flat metal piece that holds the sensor down. After you get the bolt out you can just pull on the sensor and it comes out. The rubber grommet that seals the sensor in may or may not come out.
Mod done. Soldered the new thermistor on, and made it a little longer. Still a little shorter than I wanted, but its a bitch working with something so small. Maybe I'll put it in, and go for a ride tonight.
Thanks for the pics Tom. No way I would've thought you can pull that thing out. I'd probably just cut the thing open lol
GET IT!!!
Just got back from a 17 minute ride. The temps move much faster. Hottest it got was 124. As soon as I started moving, they droped to the high teens, then low teens. At a light, it was @ 124, rev'd to 2300rpm, and in 10 seconds temps went to 111. When she went back to idle temps quickly moved up to 117. The stock sensor might have moved a degree or two. Believe me I've been watching IAT temps since I put the Maggie in.
This mod does a much better job of letting your PCM know the actual temp of the air going into the motor.
Costs about 20 buck, and a little skill with a soldering iron.
Tom posted all the info you need. The only thing I did different was to make the thermistor a bit longer. I cut the "cage" off and made it that long.
The thermistor showed up today. It's so small I could hardly find it in the plastic packaging! I'll get this assembled tonight.
