I don't get the Lingenfelter and K&N sticker together. Doesn't your Lingenfelter intake filter say "lingenfelter" on it? I know mine does. I thought they made different intake componants and were competitors.

Spray it around to make it all foamy then let it sit for a few minutes ( IMPORTANT: make sure your in the shade and the engine is cold!!! ) after that, just rinse it all with ( LOW) pressure you can get one of the hose guns with the diffrent settings and use the setting thats like a shower or even use one of those garden watering things and just rinse it all off then just dry what you can get to with a towel!! You will be suprised how that simple green works.
And that my friend is how to clean an engine bay!!
My V's engine bay has never been dirty but nonetheless I have cleaned many many many like so!! Just be careful and don't fire it up until it is really dry or you will get water spots cause it will heat up quick and dry the water.
Again be careful when wrapping the electronics up make sure you get the fuse box ect, and use low volume and low pressure (the shower setting )
Good luck!! |

In my 10+ years of having modified vehicles, I've NEVER had to cover any or all electronics with plastic. (I've covered the air element though). I've always used simple green and sprayed it off with a high pressure sprayer like those found at a car wash. Maybe I've just been lucky.

When installing the GTO frc's, make sure u mount them almost as low as u can get. They come very close to the stb, and will hit with stock motor mounts when doing the get on the throttle thing. Mine were low and the left side (left side of the engine bay) cover hit. Just my $.02 |

It just takes some masking tape, a couple of plastic shopping bags, and a minute to just cover up some stuff and your "odds" will be greatly in your favor!! Sorry, but that's just my thinking.
