wasn't the true reason they put an ls2 in the cts was to save a buck? isn't a ls2 a couple K cheaper than the ls6, probably another reason the ls2 is in so many vehicles. or is it cheaper because of the larger production scale?
was just researching 06 and 05 model years(in the process of buyin one), and came across that the ls2 crate engine is cheaper.

Well I have red spark plug wires and a c6 oil cap that looks exacly the same as the ls6 one, so I have nothing to complain about!!

Yeh the LS2 is usually on discount.

100% drivers race. The results wouldn't be fair to the motors no matter who won!

Whatever, anybody that knows anything about Corvette lineage knows the LS6 is by far the superior motor. Ask any gen1 Z06 guy, and i'll bet the last thing he'll EVER say is "they should've put an LS2 in the Z06". Horsepower/torque figures are decieving, it's how the power is delivered that made me seek out an LS6 V, versus the LS2. Plus exclusivity of the LS6 versus a motor they throw in a Trailblazer and use as the basis for other truck motors. My choice was a no brainer.

    Enjoy your truck motor pond

Stop the douchebaggery. Its not the engine thats giving you the edge, its your power adder. Like a whole .3 liters is going to magically give you so much more power.
