The LS6 was limited to only 2 select and important vehicles.

They threw the LS2 in anything with wheels.

True. The LS6 was a limited production engine and therefore there are a lot less of them around. The LS2 is much more common. Hence its extensive use as ballast.

It was so great, they dumped them for the LS2.

This thread is the equivalent of short and plump vs long and skinny. The only thing that matters is how you use it(and more importantly how often). Furthermore its about time we end this discussion and have a 6 vs 2 shootout. Somewhere centrally located like Gateway or Indy. I would love to put an end to this as I blast down the quarter mile(past your LS6) while adjusting the radio volume sooo easily from my steering wheel controls. Dynos are for pu*sies. Shouldn't we be picking on V-techs or toyota 5 liters?

Good call! I will challenge any LS6 (limit of headers for mods) to a race. From a dig or roll...bring it!

I don't even have headers, but I'll take you on......

BTW yes, that LS6 was running kinda rich............(that should keep the mods happy, so we don't get shut down)

You're luck youre in Texas. Come down to Firebird International Raceway if you're wanting to challange an LS6 V. I don't even have headers, I don't care. You WILL see my tailights.

Didn't GM kick the LS2 to the curb after just 2 years for the LS3?
