Just an FYI, which can help you set a price for this package, or separate, if desired.
A brand-spanking new LS6 can be had for around $4,500, even cheaper if some situations. It's surprising how much these have decreased in value lately...but, then again, with all the high HP applications out there now, 400 crank HP just isn't near the top of the food chain at all anymore...
Maggie? You can probably get $4k, easy. I would strongly recommend, however, shipping it to Magnasun and have them do a full evaluation on it and replace any parts they deem necessary. It will give you, and the party purchasing it, peace of mind that all is okay with the maggie. Not to mention, they will often ship it out, directly to the buying party for you.
And, in my opinion, I would NOT go the LS7 route. 427? 440? Heck yeah, but
not the LS7...way too much to adjust to make that work. Just do a search on the few people that made that change (one guy did a near day-by-day update of it and it was really challenging to make that work) & you'll see what I mean.
If you want to move the entire engine and maggie, call Jason at Timeless Customs (located in Camarillo, Southern California). He often has guys needing/requesting blown motors and he could be interested. Oh, and I discussed the option of dropping an LS7 into my '05V once with him and went, "UGH!" as he was telling me all that needed to be done (i.e. wet-sump, dry-sump, significant computer issues, etc.)
