Looks like it really does do the trick. I guess I know what my next mod is! lol These axles in conjunction with the Kars should really plant the ass end. I cant believe you let that Honda beat you!

By the way your two link for the burnouts don't work. I browsed your photobucket and found it.

It looks like after 5 years, we might finally have "the" fix. Thanks for sharing.

If a bunch of us are gonna get this, it'd be worth it to see if we can coordinate something to get a better price as a group...

Re: Testing new fix for wheelhop: Custom Axles

I'll send an email to driveshaftshop and see if they're interested in becoming a vendor so we can arrange a group buy at a discounted price. Stay tuned.

Re: Testing new fix for wheelhop: Custom Axles

yeah after tony took down his email i sent him a short email seeing if he would come on here to talk a bit about what he has experienced with axles.... then i passed out until i got to work this morning and check here to see that most of what he sent me he posted up.

I nearly cried at my desk watching his post axle swap. thinking out of the box is what spurs progress and im glad nathan has done so.

i'm ready to buy once we get this group deal going.

Add me to the list...my bank account is weeping right now!!!

Great, and I just went through that whole process of having my tuner shop install my Wheelhop Kit (with much cutting and modification to the bar because it was not even close to fitting) and I could have saved a lot of money by just going with these axles.

Re: Testing new fix for wheelhop: Custom Axles

I agree with F; removing the wheelhop is going to expose some other issue. You can't put 450+ whp on the ground with impunity and expect your car to go 100k miles that way. I am still waiting to see what the V2's longevity issue is going to be.

Still, this looks very promising for the guys who want to turn their V1 into a beast. If it REALLY works, I might even be interested. I maintain that a wheelhop fix is not ideal for a daily driver, but my V is a garage queen (05V with less than 15k miles as of now) and will be for a long time. So curing wheelhop, allowing me to put some sticky tires back on the car would be quite teh fun.

If a group buy does develop, someone keep me in the loop

    QUOTE]

lol.. Damn gutted hondas with a big turbo and slicks.. They piss me off.. He actually wanted to race me for money too.. I looked at him and laughed... Here we have my 4000 lb yaht on wheels against a little tin can.. I am on 245 z rated tires.. I knew he would be fast. I tried to get him to race me in my LS7 camaro for 200.00 and he wouldn't ( took them both that day ) .. I am all motor in that car and he wasn't stupid.. He is one of those little ricers that runs around claiming he is the baddest car around and the minute a true threat pulls up he backs out. Typical.

Yes it does the trick. I have been very happy. This caddy is just for fun.. I could push it more and more and make it faster but I already have 2 fast cars.. This is just my cruiser car that sounds good, is comfortable and very fun to drive.. The wheel hop fix is the best thing I done to it by far. If any of you have any questions let me know.
