some interesting developments around here this weekend.

sorry to hear about your misfortune. if you really are selling hopefully you get enough for a down payment on a V2.

Well once it became clear that this thread was an "information-free zone", I, for one, lost interest.

    Agreed.

Since I've wasted enough time looking, can someone tell me if the diameter of the new shafts is actually smaller than the stock ones, and if these are tube design or not?

Well I never did call DSS, but based on Post#170 that appears to be the case, although that same post indicates that the material is 300M (which is an improved version of the old #4340). That presumably is better material than what GM uses, but that is also unverified. The SRT guys use a lot of DSS axles and seem to report that they cost twice as much as OEM, but only break half as often - but they still break. So far everything, both pro & con is unverified hearsay. The good news is we now are about to have a whole group of CTS-V "test pilots." Let the carnage, I mean fun, begin.

It's been far too long since something interesting happened in the modding community around here, so I'm looking forward to whatever happens- be it carnage, burnouts or whatever.

I could not agree more. I hope this deal works out for everybody. But if it works out "perfectly" business should still pick up for purveyors of drag radials, clutches, and such.
