What the heck so good about "jig welded" if the jig is wrong? 
I had a similar problem with the radiator mount for the maggie.
Holes were way the hell off, but at least there was enough meat there to drill another hole.
If your trusting someone else to wrench on your car, I would assume the wrench is gonna assume that when you have him install something, it isn't going to be with a bunch of trauma or drama.
I say having the holes not line up and not enough material to make it happen, some serious stuff.

I feel your pain. I've had several thing pop up like this but none quite so bad I must say. A couple inches is a big F*** up. Hope you get is resolved.

Worst case scenario you could sell it on the classifieds and get most of your money back. I like to think these kits are pretty desirable. I mean they only made 10 or so this past batch. Pretty much totally took care of my wheelhop issues, too 
Guess I'm just going to count my blessings that mine fit nicely...

tweeter.. your kit and mine are identical. I measured it all out. 3/4" too narrow on ALL the mounting points.....
my guess is that the gig was pry correct, but the guy welding it up pry welded the middle plate last on the gig...shrinking the middle tube down slightly so now it doesn't fit.
Looks like the best way to resolve this problem would be to cut off the mounting brackets and put em on the car then tack it in place with a wire welder... take it off, finish welding it up and repaint it.....or you could guestimate and cut it in half and add a spacer in the middle. |

It does appear that way... but as CTS-Voodoo stated... partial refund? pffffttt go fast parts don't always fit... so just gotta tweak em to get em in there. |

Well, thanks for measuring yours and confirming exactly what my shop said. I have already given them the go ahead to do whatever they had to do to make the bar fit.
I guess this calls for a quote (for all the guys who bought these in the group buy), "We got hosed Timmy..."
We all got powned on this deal. Such is life. |
