MAGNA CHARGER confirmation (and it's CARB legal!)

I guess this is new news, as it wasn't brought up in the thread a few weeks ago.

    From the Magna Charger Website
We hope to debut the supercharged Cadillac CTS-V at SEMA 2004!

On top of that, Magnuson just got CARB approval for the C5/Z06 supercharger kit... so i'm thinking to myself... for all the money they must have spent, why the hell didn't they get blanket approval for the LS1 & LS6? Started searching the CARB website... and sure enough... they did!!!

    ...this really makes my day...

Hmmmm!? I don't think the hood will clear that either.

From this angle, it would appear a slight hood scoop would be needed for air intake clearance. Which just happens to be in the right place and the right size as we've seen on the CTS-V+, coincidence? I'm thinking not.

Wow nice.. Kinda sucks they will have to ditch the sway bar among a ton of other things.. The slightest alteration might totally screw up the geometry of the car..

And yea.. the CTS-V+ is probably going to use the same setup.. Everyone uses an eaton as far as "mass-production" supercharging goes. They're easy to service, reliable, and relatively cheap..

The only downside is that they are terribly inefficient compared to the more expensive twin screw designs.. Perhaps they'll use the same eaton blower (twin screw) that is on the Ford GT on the production V+. It would be a shame not to.

Oh.. and the tq a roots blower puts out = broken half shafts and diffs for everyone!! Might just wanna order a set of Nitto 555R-IIs before this mod..

This is for modeling. Its not even connected. THere is a jackshaft front to rear with pulleys in the front that is missing. It looks like a fit exercise. They have a long way to go.
