I just got my car back from XXX in houston (I will wait to name this shop until issue is resolved). I had a cam put it (235/238 604/609). My car (04 ls6) has kooks long tubes, catless mid pipes, exhaust, k & n cai, fast 92/ 90mm throttle body. They gave me my dyno sheet (below) its smudged but the second number was 435. So, along with it smelling really rich, even worse post headers, You have to pump the gas a little to keep it running before it will idle. They said they would retune it for free, but I don't think it ever saw a dyno. The torque seems low and I was thinking a little more power too. I don't know.. what do you guys think? Oh and its kind of fishy the date says 1980 and time is 10:58 pm and they dynoed it at like 5:00 plus the humidity was like 75% yesterday. Does it sound like I got hosed? |

Car sounds like it would be a beast if put together properly. I don't like the fact they are running a correction factor of 1.01. IMO, I want uncorrected dyno numbers, nothing adjusted for "weather" factors. |

Well take it back and get your free re-tune. This time hang out while they tune and dyno it so you know whats going on. Also ask for the wideband reading on the graph as well.
The torque does look low but the HP seems very decent IMO.

Idk man I understand you have a big cam in your car, but those numbers seem a little high for our cars without doing heads. The torque is about right right it might be a little low but not much maybe 5-10 lbs/ft. I have rarely seen those numbers from a C5 ZO6 without heads. The reason why I bring this up is we have two piece drive shafts which makes us lose about 5-7whp more hp than a corvette that would put your numbers above 440whp to the ground and I dont thiink it is possible without doing more. I would get another tune and watch them this time. just my .02 |

That is a very high lift cam, hope you changed springs to.

I am going back in tomorrow for a lil retune so all is good. The Shop is HPE in houston, they got my car back to me quick and were very easy to work with. They also threw in my t-stat for me too and adjusted a rubbing muffler. They also give you back your original stuff. Yeah I am not stoked either about pumping it, but you really have to do it once or twice to get it to "catch". I did do springs also, here is the deal they have going on right now,
hpe s-cam
comp hardend 1.7 pushrods
comp cams 26918 springs
installed
dyno tune
$1450 if any you guys check em' out tell um chad sent ya. |
