We had a Texas V meet in Houston and HPE was one of the shops we got a tour of. Horsepower Engineering seems like a great shop. http://www.horsepowerengineering.com/
I checked with my Service Manager today (he has a '05 CTS-V) and he said no go on replacing the diff if I get a cam. $1500 out the door is a hell of a deal!

I am no cam guru, but based on my reading of cam catalogs (e.g Comp and Lunati) I would expect a cam with those specs to produce driveability issues on the street.

You said rarely, i can give you a list of c5s z06s that make 430-430+ stock heads, he also has a FAST intake on his V that should help the power out put and hes not running a baby cam like most his driveability/power band might be shit but he will maybe make the #s.
i will be posting my 231/235 dyno sheet once it gets tuned. i hope for aleast 420rwhp and i will be stock intake manifold and it won't be much of a donkey dick cam.

ask and you shall recieve. In the words of Joe Dirt "It's Deer Tay".
Oh and the drivability is fine besides the start up, which you can hear here. I haven't stalled it once since i got it. The power comes on at about 2800 rpm and holy shcnikeys does it move. Oh and gas mileage is the same.
