I guess that I've gotten lazy but I'd rather swap engines that fool with any in-car mods.
With that said, and this is probably an age (and testosterone) factor, but it's better to under-cam than to over-cam and be miserable. Also, the cam timing events are more critical to driveability as the displacement decreases. What someone raves about for their 408 is going to be more radical in a 347.
NAF,
If you are building a 6.0 or larger and find that you have too much lope with the cam you initially started with, try an LPE GT11 cam. It's what they use in their CTS-V "package" cars. For driveability and a wide spread of power, it would be hard to beat. |

A full bolt on would include:
1) CAI
2) Intake Tube (over the radiator (OTR)to be the true king)
3) 90mm Throttle body (ported)
4) 90mm Intake manifold (ported)
5) Long tube headers
6) Catless lead pipes
7) Highflow catback or cut-outs
8) Underdrive Harmonic Balancer
9) Electric waterpump
10) Proper dyno tune
I got about 380 on a conservative mustang dyno with my boltons (didn't have #6, #9 or an OTR)
Once you start messing with the valvetrain or the cam, you've (like me) has fallen off the Bolt On list. Same with N02.
JohnCR96Z is the true:
-Chris
P.S. once you REALLY start to mod, ignore the posts about the CAI, intake tube or Ported TB's not doing anything. They do, and will show gains (although not the crazy ammounts the vendors advertise).

Has anyone actually done all the above and dynoed for results. What is the highest horsepower achieved with only bolt ons(not including supercharging) for the ctsv ls6 only. thanks | not to be a jerk,,,,,,but if you have to ask this leave it alone. Search "mod hell" if you still feel the need to "improve" things. If you cant do the work yourself, be very selective about who you choose to trust to do the work. Not much bang for the buck if you pay someone to do it. Also search John Hennessey/viper lawsuit |

Do it right and either:
1. Supercharge it
2. Heads/Cam it
3. NoS
You'll love those mods.
Save for dumping in a new motor, almost everything else is, "Ehh, that's cool, but not enough..." |

If I had it to do all over again I'd use the AFR 235s with the original FAST intake. I bet I'd be making a good 50 HP more than I am with ported L92s and an L76.
All that said, get some AFR 225s for your stocker, a FAST intake, some 1 3/4" headers and a good mild cam, you will see about 100HP over stock. Quote:
