What does 75% mean? Can I put 5K rpm into her and drop it with a great burn out?

Called BMR and talked to Frank. I am going to try the Wheel Hop Kit. They have red in stock but I wanted black. They will have to paint one so I should have it by next wed. He said it should help about 75%. I will post with results as soon as I get it and put it on.

This should work on the regular CTS as well - though the wheel hop is less of a concern [however, the 6 speed 3.6L reportly exhibits some wheel hop], but the trailing arms and tie-rods would be cool.

    miscreant,

Correct again. I would imagine that once the 6 speed 3.6Ls come out there
are going to be tons of posts about wheel hop.

    4.15 1st gear vs. 2.97 in the "V".

Jonathan, Im on the wagon also. I just ordered although I left the toe bars out. I dont want 'hard' connections.

Frank said that they are also working on a new driveshaft without the rubber flex joint. Shane, thanks for the heads up>>

I told Frank about it, and they are going to look into it. They've got to be interested in the idea so that they can spread the cost out over more than just one model. Heck, some modding-fool might actually buy it for their 3.2L Auto

Anxious to see what the results are myself. Just dropped $3,400.00 for wheels and tires so I think I'll wait and see what you guys get for results. With 19x10's on the rear I'm sure my car will want to hop even more.

Curious, what kind of wheels and tires? Why? Also, what size in the front? Will 10 in the rear fit o.k?

Kind of unrelated, but are you going to use stock suspension?

The fender gap on 19" wheels and stock suspension is going to be nasty....

I ordered the CCW 505's (19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear). I don't think the 19" wheel is going to be a problem for the stock suspension. Your still talking about a 26.6 inch rotating mass. Mallett is running a lot larger 19" wheel with lowered suspension and only has slight rubbing of the front tires at full turn. They are running 275 35's on the front where I'll be running 245 40's (should be no rubbing) The rear shouldn't be a problem at all. Damn, hijacked my own thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You won't have a problem with rubbing, but appearance-wise, the larger wheel will just exaggerate the fender gap. It'll give the car a "raised" appearance.
