Re: Engine Stumbles when turned off...

Motor mount possibly, its a common issue. Look for fluid leakage on the lower driver side of the motor.

Authorized Vendor, what do you sell?

So a motor mount can cause it to stumble? That is odd. It is like it is cutting out every time after I turn it off. I had it up on my lift yesterday and did not notice any leaks other than the big one I caused when I missed my oil pan.

Re: Engine Stumbles when turned off...

Well the V's stock flywheel is very heavy (I think Luke said like 47-57 lbs). So take that into consideration. If the mounts are bad, which 99% of the time they are, the heavy flywheel makes the dieseling or stumbling worse. Also, sometimes you cant see the leak. Mine was replaced at the dealer less than a year ago and it still looked new but it was completely torn all the way around it at the top under the heat shield. Put a set of UUC mounts and an aluminum flywheel and it will completely go away.

Re: Engine Stumbles when turned off...

Well our heavy dual mass flywheel takes time to come to a stop, and when the motor mounts have gone, it shakes the motor around. That may be what you're experiencing. Mine was pretty bad, making a dieseling sound for a few seconds when I turned the key. When I had my driver side mount replaced it went away.

Luke has some badass UUC mounts that won't bust like the fluid-filled stock ones.

Re: Engine Stumbles when turned off...

+1 on the motor mounts.

The drivers side usually goes bad first. Look for a greenish or brownish deposit around the mount area. Most of the time it leaks out onto the side of the oil pan. Could be mistaken for an oil leak if it weren't for the color.

If and When you find this, get the UUC mounts from Luke.....that way you only have to replace the mounts ONCE.

Re: Engine Stumbles when turned off...

I have this same issue in my 05 V that I bought and when we had it up on a lift we noticed a slight leak that sounds like the one you guys are describing. Going to be ordering from Luke soon.

Re: Engine Stumbles when turned off...

I spotted a leak but I thought it was ps fluid. If it's not oil, what is it leaking? I check oil frequently and it's fine.

The motor mounts are leaking...they're not solid mounts, they're rubber with fluid inside. They end up cracking and spilling fluid all over the side of the oil pan.
