I should of done it a long time ago.. So for anyone on the border.....I think you will be pleasantly suprised how much fun factor it adds....
Now my sons friend with a anniversary Camaro SS wants to race....he's got headers too....maybe a LS1?? Im not sure....
Do i have a chance?? I jokingly told him first one to 160 wins.....but i guess he's had the governor tuned out of his....Lol.... |

It was so-o much fun to hear them, and all you had to do was put your right foot down ... I did that a lot.
Naw, sorry Keith, you're only getting that 30 hp max improvement. Your right foot is just a whole lot happier, now.
Ain't the sound great?

About the SS, as long as you run him from a roll you should be good. Say 40 in second or 60 in third. I hate running cars from a dig. I ran my buddy with a M3 and he jumped out fast. Once you get traction its just a matter of how much road there is till the next light. Thats why from a roll is best. |

I feel its much safer on my rear if I do it from a roll....not that I race on the street...on the track of course. Hmmm, maybe that's why my 1/4 mile times are so fast. I do them from a 40 roll. |

do it from a roll |

Maybe it's from all the years of a DSM (Studderbox+Antilag+6puck+AWD) doing anything from a roll just seems so |

Originally Posted by keithsm2 I guess the SS has some work done.. 12.8 quarter times.... | If you ran him from a roll I guarantee you would take him. Ask him what his trap speed was when he ran the 12.8.
Example: If you run an Evo 0-60 or 1/4 mile chances are he will beat you. Try racing that same Evo from a 40 roll. You have all the hp and tq that will pull you ahead.
Just my $0.02

trap speed is 109.8.
