I'm sorry, sound is all subjective but fit and finish and the appearance of the system ALL goes to B&B! The way the pipes route around the differential and exit out the back just looks incredible.
Kooks and Corsa sounds great and can still be tame if you want, but the Corsa exhaust, with its awkward routing and round can mufflers just look weak, IMO.

I have original B&B headers with gutted cats into a B&B x-pipe catback. It is the most badass sounding exhaust I've heard. It is certainly loud on the outside. But one of the first things I did after installing the headers was take a 1,000 mile trip to Chicago and back.
Inside, with the windows up, it is very unintrusive. If you don't need the V to drive clients around who aren't gearheads, it's very easy to live with...

I love my Magnaflow, but it seems that the Corsa/Kooks/no cats is much louder WOT than mine. That may be because I've never heard my car WOT as a bystander, where I have heard the Corsa set up. I would have to hear them side by side to make a real decision. Either way I'd rather go back to stock cat back and add cutouts to get the really loud nascar sound when I want it and quiet stock sound when i need it.
If you stop the first video at 0:40 and the second at 1:18, then play them back to back you have a good comparison. They were filmed with the same camera. The only difference is that the Red V (LS6) has 1 7/8 Kooks and high flow cats and the Silver V (LS2) has 1 3/4 Kooks and no cats. It sounds like the Silver V is louder at idle but I believe that the Red Vs Corsa is louder at WOT.
If I cut off my resonator and replace it with an X-Pipe and replace the mufflers with straight pipes/tips, this shouldn't impact emissions, right? If I remember correctly, the mufflers and resonator are to limit sound, while the cats are what are used for emissions.
Thanks,

Ya, but check to see if your state requires noise control devices such as mufflers for state inspections before you do that.

I keep running around posts where people say they got a magnaflow system for around $600.00. Where can I find a deal like that? I want to do Headers, Cat-bypass, and a magnaflow cat-back. (when will someone make a cold-air intake for the ls2?)

hottexhaust.com has them for $608 shipped. You will have to search to find the discount code. I don't remember off the top of my head what the code was.

As for the CAI. I know some LS2 guys have them. Dont really thing its a big deal. You'll have to do a search on it though. IMO, a CAI is not worth full price. Your better off just doing the homemade intake tube. I think it cost me around sixty bucks when I did mine.

The ls12gto code discounts the magnaflow to $654, but chgp1 gets it for $604.

I picked up my 06 V a couple months ago and was thinking about just installing the magnaflow mufflers with tips. Does anybody know what the model number is for the mufflers with tips and a good place to get them? Have many people had experience with just installing the mufflers? Thanks in advance!
