If I had it to do over I would do it the same way.

Corsa is probably the tamest, then Magnaflow, and B&B is probably the boldest.
If fact, I bet a B&B is louder than my Kooks headers, hi-flow cats, and Corsa from observing GMBound's car coming down our street last summer. But, at WOT, my car will dang near break your eardrums.
Be smart. Think beyond just an exhaust. Think an entire system from the exhaust ports on back with B&B headers and B&B all the way back probably being the loudest at all throttle openings and Kooks/Corsa being reasonably bold at lower RPMs and quite loud at WOT and with no drone.

Thats what Im putting on my V - I had them on my 98 Cobra with a Dr. Gas X pipe, and it sounded UNBELIEVABLE! I think Im just going to weld in a Dr. Gas X pipe in place of the resonator, and bolt up some Spintech Pro-Street Mufflers!

I think its those BBK Headers that make it sound like ass, and No Cats Prob... I actually had Spintech Install and X-Pipe w/out cats the first time and it sounded like ASS... So I ordered the Dr. Gas setup kept the mufflers added high flow cats, and it sounded like a Nascar! People would run after my car just to ask about the setup. I really wanna try it on a V. Just have not had the funds yet.

Save some cash for other mods, headers, intake etc. |

B&B with the headers, Hi flow Cats, and the resonator is a pretty tame package. I had the X-pipe on it without Cats and that was LOUD. I got way too much attention from the police so I backed down. I was looking for something throaty but not too loud, lets call it an exhaust for an aging motorhead.
I work on my own car and boy is it cool to crawl underneath the car and see those 3" sewer pipes
Bottom line is you need to figure how much you want to spend, then listen to all of the options in that price range, and pick the one that suits you best. The exhaust loudness and drone can be adjusted by resonators and cats so I would recommend going for the exhaust that sounds the best. As was stated somewhere in this thread, you will not get much of a HP/TQ gain out of this mod.
FYI, They are putting 3" pipes on the Z06 now, is it just for show? | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
