This is on Cadillacs dime. If it was me I would have a rebuild with Viper forks and new syncros but Ill just do that when this new one shits the bed next time.

Well at least I know they aren't feeding me a line of crap. I will contact them and see if there is anything I might be able to do to speed the process along. Maybe if there are more than 1 of us calling to complain they will hurry up. lol

I just talked to my dealer. They called Gm while I was standing there and GM told them I am 3rd in line for a tranny. They are going to pull one off the line for me with an eta of Sept. 29.

I was going to call Tremec today but just didnt get around to it. My email barage starts tonight. I stopped at the dealer to get my sunglasses and radar detector out of my car and the place was shut down because they have no power after the hurricane that blew through Kentucky yesterday (winds at 88knots, 101 mph). I did get to talk to the parts manager and he said that some pressure from my side wouldnt hurt.

My dealer said to call and complain also. They gave me a STS to drive, so its not that big of a deal. If they gave me a piece of crap as a loaner I would be pissed. Its not near as fun as the V though. They wouldn't give me the used STS-V they have on the lot. I tried. lol

Well I talked to the parts mgr today and it is looking like Sept 29th for me too. He also said my clutch arrived from Luke and was awaiting install.

I figure if the tranny arrives on the 29th, installed and ready for pickup on the 30th I can have it at the installer for the Maggie that same day and dyno tuned and ready to go no later than the 2nd!!!!!!

I hope they arrive on the 29th. I am ready to drive my baby again. The STS is nice, but it's not my V. I think I am gonna have them fill the new transmission with a synthetic tranny fluid. Anyone have any suggestions as to what brand? (Aimsoil, Royal purple) I have heard of guys putting the rear end lube in it. Anyone done this?

Put Mobil 1 ATF in it. Mine shifted like new again after I used that.

Well I got a voice mail today from my service rep and apparently my transmission arrived today (a week ahead of time for a pleasant suprise), not sure if they got it installed and he said he had a question about the LS7 clutch (I may have to refer that one to Luke) but I missed the call cause I was at the Ryder Cup all day and spend most of the day sitting at the NBC tent patio with the likes of Michael Jordan and Charles Oakley. Best sports hook-up I have ever had and the atmosphere was absolutly incredible. The fact that the US was kickin ass made it even more enjoyable.

Any word on your Jay?

No word on mine yet. I will give them a call tomorrow to find out whats going on. Maybe you were one of the three on the list ahead of me. I will be mad if it's done tomorrow. I just filled my loaner up with gas, and it was empty when they gave it to me. lol

Congrats. Mine would have been back in my possession today but they had trouble with the LS7 clutch install so they wont have the exhaust back on till tomorrow if they got all the clutch issues worked out.
