    Re: Header Questions

Ted, why is there no way?
EPP's numbers are SAE (weather corrected) same as yours were....so the temp isn't going to make a 20hp difference. I'm sure the 1/2" bigger exhaust has a little to with it though. Maybe B&B's flow that much better than the Kook's? I don't know....but Brent is the man at tuning (you know this) so I'm sure that has alot to do with it. PLUS, I have the xpipe on there.....obviously makes a huge diff.

P.S. they have a MUSTANG Dyno that is known to be a little conservative

Congrats man, those are the highest numbers I have seen from headers and a tune on any dyno, let alone a mustang.

Then it makes even less sense to me. I just done believe that B&B are 20HP better then Kooks. I could understand like 5...but not 20.

I am not doubting your numbers Shane. I am wondering why mine suck!

Easy , let me enjoy the Maggie for a few days, before pushing me into another big purchase.
Actally, headers aren't even on my to-do list. I may get hi-flo cat though.
Small things till after winter. Maybe some cosmetic stuff. Like gauges, or under the hood stuff.

I'm thinking the xpipe is one of the BIG factors here Boss.

Hahhaha ok man....can't wait to see your numbers! Hi-flow cats make a huge difference in sound compared to stock cats! Oh and headers are great "under the hood stuff"

Not trying to get into a dyno numbers thing (no point), but the Magnaflow has an X pipe.

    Re: Headers

Hahah I dont know how long it is, but the length of the X-pipe shouldnt matter as long as the flows have the opportunity to cross over, flow through straight pipes is actually less restricted.

I got a little scared with the whole "my X-pipe is bigger than your X-pipe, thing"

If anything, I'd go with the Kooks/Magnaflow combo. Love the sound, but don't want to much of it. As it is my cat-back got me noticed n pulled over a few weeks ago.
That said, I would think a full B&B would give you better numbers.

A bit of trivia: The Kooks factory is in Long Island, not too far from me. They used to use my dyno guy for R&D....or at least that's what the dyno guy said.

Yeah, that Tony's got too much will power. We can't talk him into anything. That guy is tough, let me tell ya.

The fact that he's got that LS6 inhaling big time now has nothing to do with us. Nope ... not a thing. Well ... it's just too bad that the exhaling part isn't what it could be ... you know, not quite up to snuff. Yup ... 'tis a shame.
