I have a REALLY basic question about the B&B headers + x-pipe combo:
Say you're just driving through the neighborhood barely on the throttle, or cruising on city streets in stop and go traffic and driving all granny-like. Is the setup still so loud that everyone around you notices?
I don't mind louder than stock, it's just that I have to drop my Fiance off at school sometimes and I also take clients to lunch on occasion, so I want to be able to keep the car a bit below the radar when I'm not on it.

You can be somewhat quiet, but it is noticeable.
When I had my X pipe on, I could go through a parking lot and set off car alarms without intention.

I was able to idle through a parking lot and set off alarms but when the police started to notice is when the Resonator got installed.

Just that headers are one of my favorite mods. Need to get the Maggie issue resolved first and I hope you find a solution soon. Me, I got a used Super Charger and I have no desire to even consider the Magnuson tune. If it was running at all I would use it then plan to Get it tuned to eliminate the tune they "think" should be in the car.
To me since your running (and I assume it's running ok except for the missing HP) this would be a great time to install the headers then get it tuned with the Headers and the Maggie at one time. If you fix the problem with the Maggie (with a tune for example) and then install the headers you should probably tune it again.
So see, if you install the headers now it will save you some $$$.
This is how I justify my mods..
BTW, just having a little fun with you, please don't take the occasional jabs personally.

I agree about doing headers n tune at the same time. My plan was to stay with the Magnuson tune till I do another power mod. But with headers, it would get close to $2000. can't do that right now.
The V runs perfect. Linden said his does also. That's what bothers me. If we messed something up during the install, the car wouldn't run good. We're both down 50hp from what is advertised. I doubt a tune will get that back.
At least it's Magnuson and not some other company. We had some issues and they did what they could to make it right. So if it can get worked out, they'll find a way. I don't know how much can be done at this point though.
BTW I'm justifying the tune cuz I get lousy highway mileage now

That tune is going to wake Maggie right up from the one she came with!
