Can't do the 2.6" pulley without adding the Magnavolt. Then, you're right, I'd need a retune.

I recall Rick doing the 90mm TB (he told me I could pick some hp with it), but didn't he encounter some connection problem? ... wire/vac tube/coolant or something? He finally found some solution, so it's doable.

Did he ever get that done? I know the one he bought wasn't fitting right - coming into contact with the driveshaft maybe?

Re: Everything I ever wanted to know about a Maggie,,,and your gonna tell me!!!

I did get it done, there is a post in this thread regarding how the TB motor almost touches the CF shaft. Have yet to get dyno, will try to do so in the next 30 days. I have a good dyno sheet for comparison, so gains will be measureable. The TB adaptor from Magnuson is only $100.00, but you will pay $300-$400 for the TB, got mine at cost from GM at $310.00.
The gain, according to my math is simple, 90/78=16% difference, thus 16% HP gain----JFWY, if it were only that easy. I now have 510RWHP, and hoping for 525RWHP, will keep you updated.

Re: Everything I ever wanted to know about a Maggie,,,and your gonna tell me!!!

Everything is on. Took it out for a NICE ride last night. A 545 kept trying to catch me . I easily puuled away from him a few times.
Everything feels good, but I do have a bit of a rough idle. Any thoughts? I will recheck all the connections/hoses when I start tucking everything away to make things neat.
Took a couple videos today. How does she sound?

Since they've apparently stopped making them, this is fast becoming an exclusive club.

Tony, it sure sounds like there's a lot going on under your hood, but the audio I hear on this laptop is next to impossible to compare to mine. I hear the same noises, just not as loud. I don't trust the comparison, though, without it being in person. You're probably okay.

Regarding that 545, it's fun having a sleeper of a car that not many people know about. It's even MORE fun when that sleeper is maggied.

At this point, I'd jump at anything . So I'll let you guys decide.
I still haven't gone through a few gears to see how it really feels. The short highway romps are fun though .

Re: Everything I ever wanted to know about a Maggie,,,and your gonna tell me!!!

Ok, who's ready for some maggie troubleshooting again?

I am having an occasional problem. At WOT and only above 3500 rpms, all of a sudden it will feel like the boost turns off and the power drops out. It will continue to rev up to redline, then I shift and everything is fine.

It feels like maybe the bypass valve is opening when it shouldn't be? I don't know. I don't think it's the belt - it's a Gatorback and everything seems nice and tight. Not sure what tests to go through, especially since it's a random occurrence.

This has only happened a couple of times. Any ideas?

Re: Everything I ever wanted to know about a Maggie,,,and your gonna tell me!!!

If it's the Magnavolt, that would mean it's leaning out (?) which would not be good for any length of time (>1-2 sec). Vac line would be a good first suspect.

If it's the belt, you should notice a significant amount of belt dust. You'll always see a little dust buildup (I do), but more than a little would indicate slippage.

Check that bypass valve vac line, too. Being intermittent like that is puzzling, though.

If those ideas don't pan out, have to go to Plan B.
