IF I get my car back this decade. | -EXTRA GROUNDS for the magnavolt.
-Don't even bother with an impact wrench on the crank bolt - breaker bar & length of pipe works great.
-The bumper does not need to come off.
-The belt tensioner mod is not part of the instructions (I don't know if you're getting this piece from Chris - it was a more recent addition).
-Any wires that you cut to be crimped - make the cuts an inch apart or else you will have trouble fitting the crimps in the wire looms
-It may be easier to attach the throttle body coolant lines to the throttle body before it is bolted to the supercharger.
-There are 2 solid wires on the connector in steps 213/214. Take a close look at the picture and make sure you're cutting the correct one.

You may want to look into making a switch for the Magnavolt. That way, if it goes bad, you don't have to cut any wires.

Also, the nipple broke that the hose connects to. I'll try to glue it back on for now. |

That was with the bypass open. I had it crazy glued for about twenty minutes, but it didn't hold. Its much worse with the bypass closed. I tried holding the valve in every position. The noise is the same, until you close it. |

Dang power failures must've cancelled it. Been rainin' here for 24 hrs ... really hard sometimes.
Anyway, this happened to me just before Summit Point while at the tuner's. I think he tweaked on it or something. I epoxied it on, but ordered another new one and put it on just before going to V-Day One. Ran across the old one in the garage the other day ... darn thing is holding up real well.
Tony, don't recall what epoxy I used, but try some and let it sit for 24 hrs. |
