Ok, first I want to thank all of you for all the great interest in the traction kit. Because of all of that I have started 561 MotorWerks. This is the company that will be producing the completely upgraded KARS Stage III traction kit which will now be called the MotorWerks CTS V Traction Kit. The kit works with all first gen CTS V's 04-07. We will also be making versions for the C5-C6 Corvette as well as versions for Ford and Dodge. We are also working on a complete bolt on twin turbo kit for the first gen V and C5-C6 corvettes & Escalade as well as will be starting development for the second gen when it comes out.
.The traction kit is powder coated.1" x .065 chrome molly tubing, and 3/16" mild steel plate and all welds are Tig welded vs. Mig for better strength and durability. Since the kit is made from chrome molly vs. mild steel it is much stronger while being very light weight. The total weight of the kit is about 10 pounds. This kit will basically eliminate wheel hop, and generally improve stability of the car in the rear & eliminate some body roll etc.
As far as the install is concerned it is a very simple install that should take 1 to 2 hours depending on ability. It is bolted to the car. The traction kit is not welded on. There are two reinforcements welded on that do not impede anything and the rest of the kit is bolted on. So in a nutshell two plates get welded to the bottom of the rockers to reinforce a bolting location. The diff plate is bolted to the cross bar with urethane bushings as a cushion and all the hardware is included. Also the rear can be changed at anytime with the kit installed
There will be a two week lead time per run of the kits As far as shipping we do not have a flat shipping rate. We will only charge you the amount UPS or FedEx charges us. We do not mark this up. If you have a UPS or FedEx corporate account, we can use it to ship yours for a savings. Figure +/- $40 in the lower 48.
Because of delays I wont have the finshied pictures of the kit till Tuesday night but I can provide some shots of the kit about 85% done at request.
So here is the deal:
Reg Price: 675.00 plus shipping and handling
The group price is for 20 orders which should be no problem.
Group price is 600.00 plus shipping and handling and again this includes the powder coating and includes all hardware. This is a very small price for a piece of equipment that will basically eliminate wheel hop improve traction and help save your differential from being replaced as it did with mine.
Below is a clip of my 05 CTS V doing a clutch drop of 4,200 rpm's with no wheel hop at all.

Re: Traction Kit Group Buy info "Upgraded KARS Stage III Kit"
Are the stock bolts for the cradle bushings going to be long enough for those of us with BMR AWH Kits, and Specter Bushings installed already? (after you add the extra width of the bracket there) ??
And it looks like we'll have to take the pinion off the diff to install the bracket right there....is that correct? No biggie, just wondering if I'll have to buy some mo' fluid.
Will you be providing instructions wih the kit? I know it looks self explanatory, just want to make sure I get everything lined up correctly and weld the brackets to the right spot !!
Thanks in advance, I am excited about this upgrade.
