ok, first i want to thank all of you for all the great interest in the traction kit. Because of all of that i have started 561 motorwerks. This is the company that will be producing the completely upgraded kars stage iii traction kit which will now be called the motorwerks cts v traction kit. The kit works with all first gen cts v's 04-07. We will also be making versions for the c5-c6 corvette as well as versions for ford and dodge. We are also working on a complete bolt on twin turbo kit for the first gen v and c5-c6 corvettes & escalade as well as will be starting development for the second gen when it comes out.

.the traction kit is powder coated.1" x .065 chrome molly tubing, and 3/16" mild steel plate and all welds are tig welded vs. Mig for better strength and durability. Since the kit is made from chrome molly vs. Mild steel it is much stronger while being very light weight. The total weight of the kit is about 10 pounds. This kit will basically eliminate wheel hop, and generally improve stability of the car in the rear & eliminate some body roll etc.

as far as the install is concerned it is a very simple install that should take 1 to 2 hours depending on ability. It is bolted to the car. The traction kit is not welded on. There are two reinforcements welded on that do not impede anything and the rest of the kit is bolted on. So in a nutshell two plates get welded to the bottom of the rockers to reinforce a bolting location. The diff plate is bolted to the cross bar with urethane bushings as a cushion and all the hardware is included. Also the rear can be changed at anytime with the kit installed

there will be a two week lead time per run of the kits as far as shipping we do not have a flat shipping rate. We will only charge you the amount ups or fedex charges us. We do not mark this up. If you have a ups or fedex corporate account, we can use it to ship yours for a savings. Figure +/- $40 in the lower 48.

because of delays i wont have the finshied pictures of the kit till tuesday night but i can provide some shots of the kit about 85% done at request.

so here is the deal:

reg price: 675.00 plus shipping and handling

the group price is for 20 orders which should be no problem.

group price is 600.00 plus shipping and handling and again this includes the powder coating and includes all hardware. This is a very small price for a piece of equipment that will basically eliminate wheel hop improve traction and help save your differential from being replaced as it did with mine.

below is a clip of my 05 cts v doing a clutch drop of 4,200 rpm's with no wheel hop at all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LroLZXjdQY

please email me if you have any questions at chris@561motorwerks.com or call me at 561-358-4558

down with wheel hop!!!!!

I'm a little nervous about how long it took the last round to get everybody and the last minute inflation of shipping costs. Many others on this forum are far more forgiving about things than I. Just look at all the post from people who got incomplete kits. I'm all about the kit, I am just not the kinda guy who gives up a wad of cash and then takes a bunch of BS very well. I really wish UUC or some kind of company would get on board to build these. I would of thought that Luke would have tried to find someone to build these by now (or maybe he has tried with no luck). Besides it looks like CSP has moved on to Escalades and 22's

Re: Traction Kit Group Buy info "Upgraded KARS Stage III Kit"

Rangerrob: Chris didn't make any money or markup shipping on the last kit. It was a honest mistake and a massive markup from the shipping company from the last set of kits made. I got a reciept for mine, a scan of the prices charged for every person that bought one. It was expensive shipping but there was no markup. I think that could be part of the reason for no longer making the kits, it was just too much of a hassle dealing with us!

The kit is very well made, quality product and not really any shortcuts taken. Chris had a decent penny into the fabrication of these kits. I really don't think Chris made a ton of money, he did it to help the people here enjoy their car more.... since it wasn't a "cash cow" and turned into a huge hassle I think he threw in the towel.... I really can't say I blame him.

you know, you guys talk alot of shit for being so ****ing clueless......you think he made money off this venture?? nope, more of a hassle, especially when having to listen to bullshit comments like rangerbob..... if you'd listen to his own words in his original post...he did this for the community, obviously he already had one and didn't have a V anymore....and he definitely hasn't moved on, the escalade is just an interim vehicle ....a very nice interim vehicle....you dumb ****ers really think the things that happened were intentional?? if you only knew the half of it..........

I can only assume that your "you guys" included me as being ****ing clueless and a dumb ****er, so I feel obligated to respond. When someone takes on the role as an authorized vendor and sets up a business website and signs their name with the name of their business, the perception is that they are doing it for a profit. However, I actually think the guy should be making a profit from it. It puts in more incentive to give great customer service.

Nobody likes to fork over a pile of cash and then be delayed for a month just to find out the cost has gone up nearly 20%. If you look back and read this post and you aren't a little leery about buying this kit then you must have never been burned by someone selling something online. If you buy parts online like I do you will eventually get burned and it will make you evaluate the situation a lot more before you just paypal some cash.

I'm sure someone will post something about me being a jerk because I didn't worship a guy for making a kars kits and that's okay I'm a big boy. I would give you a few words of wisdom though nikon.....don't go around calling people names on online forums, you never know who your gonna see at a car show, vday, etc... Some people realize this is just an online forum and people talk out of their a**, however some others may take it personally and may not forget your words.

Nikon, first, thank guys like me so you can have your fat @$$ sitting comfortably on your f*****g couch you f*****ng punk! second, i've never bad mouthed anyone on this site before and pretty sure everyone who has met me knows i'm not f*****g clueless... i've been reading about this since it started, but it's hard to find time to get on the internet and keep in contact constantly with everything going on back home when I'm in the middle of a f*****g deployment... so finally when I was able to get online and ask about the kit I did... you should read my previous posts, as I've been waiting patiently for a f*****g response from csp3k about the kit for over 2 months. He didn't even have the decency to send me a simple reply and at least say, "sorry man I know I you've been waiting to hear back from me and i told you i'd keep you in the loop and even ask my shop to build one more just for you"... but he did respond to other guys afterwards... if you're going to be a vendor and sell something on this site, i'd appreciate a little customer service.... so for getting shot at by insurgents in this f*****g wasteland every few days and then not even getting a response for over 2 months from csp3k, I'm pretty heated... and have every right to be... I posted that reply to see if I could at least get a response from him, but instead I got one from your punk @$$... go fly a f*****g kite... and it's rangerrob, call me bob again and i'll shove that boat in your avatar up your @$$. peace
