Pretty sure he had the 2.6 on it. I think you have to grind it in, so you cannot put the 2.8 back on. With the 2.6 you'll need a custom tune.

Re: Pollished Maggie for sale

Well it is a 2.8. So do I want the 2.6 and just do it all at the same time? Where can I find one and what all is needed?

I plan on a custom tune. One of the best LSx tuners around is near Ashland, Ky so I am planning on getting him to do it.

BTW, what is a fair price for an install? I figure $40 an hour for 15-18 hours for someone freelancing it and not in a formal shop?

$600-700 for a competent mechanic? Sounds reasonable to me.

The big question is how much beer?

Im getting these guys to do it. I talked to the installer (18 years with this company and ASE cert) on the phone as he looked at the manual on the Maggie website and he said no problem, $650.

http://www.automotionky.com/

I would do this myself but my buddy with the most know how on the topic just moved and his garage is still boxed up, so I think $650 is pretty reasonable and he sounds pretty confident that he will have it done on the 2nd day no problem.

Took me about 20 hours/ 3 nights. But I was working outside, in the dark and I had toput everything away each night. Yeah, you'll have it in two days.

If me and my buddy (combined auto mechanic experience of about 0 years) were able to knock it out in 15 hours, I am sure this guy will have no problem installing yours in a day and a half. And $650 is a great price.

Is he tuning if for you too?

Do you have a list of everything you're going to need in addition to what csp3000 gives you? I'm trying to think of the things that can't be re-used...I guess you'll need a whole bunch of wire crimps, zip ties, harmonic balancer pins, maybe a couple of clamps? That's probably it. Not too bad.

Re: Pollished Maggie for sale

I wouldn't reuse any hose.

Not worth it.

One guy here bought a used one and the intercooler got thrashed in shipping if I remember correctly.

It's the little stuff that will be annoying.

Re: Pollished Maggie for sale

Im gonna have about 2 weeks between arrival and install and I am going to triple check all components and actually let him eyeball it all so we can get anything that may be missing beforehand.

They want $450+ to do the dyno tune so Im probably gonna take the Maggie tune to get it home then take it to a LSX guru a couple hours away the next day.

Re: Pollished Maggie for sale

No idea. My only "power" mods currently are K&N CAI and Corsa catbacks and those are both miniscule in the big scheme.

Before Maggie or before dyno tune numbers?

Where are you getting the Maggie tune since csp3000's superchips maggie tune won't work for your car? Are you buying it from Magnuson?

Re: Pollished Maggie for sale

Who knows where to get a intake tube connector as long as the blue one in this picture?

The air tube isn't quite long enough to let my K&N sit where it should.
