However, be cautious because I had my maggie on for 6 days and it broke (only drove it three days), and so did Jared's. It's on the way back to Magnacharger as we speak, I have a thread out and I will be updating it after I get maggie bolted back on. Mod hell is the worst feeling in the world. I would enjoy your car for a couple of months without having to worry about Mods felling!! |

Never seem to hear much about this one. It has a good reputation and there are a few guys on the forum with that set up. Aren't they around the same cost as the Maggie?

EDIT: Of course, if you go that route then you'll decide to build your engine to up the boost from 8psi to 12+, and on and on and on you go...

My dealer's been pretty cool so far. But if I get a supercharger, I'll consider myself lucky if the diff is still covered. The motor would be a long shot.
I like the Maggie cuz its proven and safe. You have a problem, there's a dozen guys here with quick advise.
I feel safe up to the 500hp mark.
The pro charger gives you more potential, but then your whole drivetrain will need an upgrade. How much $$$ are you ready to spend?
Oh yeah, can you get a procharger? I thought I read that EPP didn't sell the kit unless you had them install it.

I like the sound of my cam'd car, and it pulls like a mutha, and I don't have the added 150+ lbs weight penalty on the nose of the car.
Either way you win. It's a question of blonde or brunette.

One you didn't mention was what you were using it for. The Maggie will have the torque advantage I til the rpms are up. I think HC will stand up to track rigors and be less sensitive to summer tempatures.
Either direction will yield a slightly louder car when the hp pedal is pressed.

Originally Posted by heavymetals With a full intercooler I don't think the whole system weighs more then 90 lbs. | That'd be my guess ... tops! Maybe more like 75-80 lbs. Maggie alone about 40-ish.
If it took Ken 12 hrs to do his install, it took me all of 30+ ... three hours here, five hours there, couldn't get big chunks of time and git 'r done. Plus, I'm NOT a mechanic; don't need to be with a maggie.
Maggie pros: Less invasive, power throughout RPM range, reversible
Maggie cons: Added weight, added mechanical complexity
Toss up: $/hp gained, warranty voided
My $0.02.
