Any noticeable improvement with this mod?

It's similar to the StealthV intake. How much power did his intake add (to a non-maggie)?

One more quick question: How much should someone expect to pay to have the tube powdercoated?
Seems to have a seat of the pants feel but that could be the placebo effect.

As far as power I will find out at the end of the month. There is a Dyno day here on August 30 so I will dyno on that day. I have a baseline and this is the only mod since last Dyno so the numbers should be pretty accurate.

I paid 40 bucks to have the tube powder coated.

Here's a stupid question...I pretty much suspect the answer would be "No"...But, hey, collectively, you all are much more knowledeable than me...

...If the aluminum tube was coated with an insulating paint, such as "jet-hot", to keep it from holding transferred heat from the engine compartment, thus avoiding heat transference to the airflow passing through it, would it make any difference whatsoever to performance or how well the car runs?

My background is in the Buick Grand National realm where the more heat you get rid of, the better the car runs...especially intake heat.

    There's been talk about that.
Me, I doubt the air is in the tube long enough to make a real difference.

Local Dyno day was pushed back till next weekend, and Rob may have a tune before then so the results will be skewed.

I have my FFV intake on now, but don't have a stock baseline. Our cars should dyno very similar...
