My friend thashed his and now needs this belt...
One of your pulleys maybe misaligned...That would do that, but hoppin foward would also mean your belt is loose or your tensioner is no good |

I can't imagine you'd beat the piss outta your car to make that happen. | I've found the belt riding up on the front lip of the pulley after/during the dyno tune I got recently and at Summit Point where I was WOT part of the time (when the rear tires could finally get traction). For some reason, the belt wants to run up against that lip when the maggie is working the hardest. I know there's a natural tendency for belts to seek the high point on a pulley if they can move laterally a bit (as evidenced by steam engines with barrel-shaped drive pulleys if anyone has ever noticed before). Belt's not loose. Tensioner has plenty of tension, but I do have another one ... maybe I'll try it with a fresh belt, then do a little WOT driving to test it. |

New belt and some WOT seems like a good plan.
Those things are nothing but truble. You should just sell it.

Tony | Tony, I see that you're staying up on all maggie issues.
D'ya think that knowledge will come in handy in the future? |

Thought about going NA, but I don't know enough about the internals. Not a big fan of dropping my car off at a shop and letting them decide what I need.
V-Day II, I'm doing a little suspension (happy with the brakes).
V-Day III, I should have my Maggie.
Somebody just got one for $5700. Gotta get the info on that.

Thanks, heavy. |

Tony | That was me. I can PM the vendor. I don't think he's a sponsor and I don't want to break any rules. |

That was a while ago (couple of months at most). After getting one used ("200 miles" so I was told ), ANYTHING under $6k new would be something to jump on, $5.7k included.
BTW, wife wanted Chinese Hunan chicken last night, so I took the V out to get it. On the way back, with my A/S Avons on, I shifted into 2nd at about 15 MPH and went to near WOT -- not WOT, but near WOT -- and there was no traction in back. Yup, that's right ... the maggie just really wakes up that ol' LS6. You guys just gotta try it. C'mon by, and I'll give you a ride. |
