Should be interesting reading your impressions on this rear-end... in a new thread.
Pics of the install would helpful. (Becoming a supporting member would fix your ability to post photos and PM)

FWIW... There is an alternate opinion as to the work done at F-Body Central. See these threads:

Re: How many V-owners have NOT had problems with their rear differential?

04 with 60k+ miles. Original rear, fluid, no leaks, no noise, WOT runs in 1st, and power sliding all the time. Lots of wheel hops too with stock suspension.

Re: How many V-owners have NOT had problems with their rear differential?

So far mine has only leaked a couple times as well (knocking on wood)

Maybe this should be set up as survey instead . . .

Re: How many V-owners have NOT had problems with their rear differential?

'05 V, with overdriven maggie, and no problems with the rear differential. I wish it would fail, as the '06 differential is superior (perhaps not by much, but it's better).

No matter what, however, the differential is a complete POS.

Re: How many V-owners have NOT had problems with their rear differential?

11,000 miles on my '07 with 400 rwhp and no problems. I have launched mine at 2000 rpms a few times and occaisionally get into a little wheel hop, still no leaks or breaks. Oh, I can't hear any whine over the B&B.
