Thanks to all of you that responded. I feel reassured about the rear differential. The majority of the problems appears to be caused by the type of driving. Clearly, from others posts, the rear differential was not made to take the force of a drag strip launch. What is reassuring is that the rear differential appear to do just fine with the stress of (repeated) track HPDE's.

22K and i can't break mine, guaranteed not to break even with 1st gear high rpm jumps. but its not stock either  |

mild whine at 40-60 mph and the occassional "parking lot growl" but they go away when they flush the fluids in the rear |

Feff www.MVPTrackTime.com | I took my '05 in for the same whine... 50-70 MPH. Dealer replaced it and said it was due for catastrophic failure. You may want to have it checked. They put an 06/07 rear in mine. |
