theres pdf files with pics on like page 3

and why cant the shifter install be simple like my z28? remove console, 4 screws, and 4 boots.....all from the top. and no silly bushings or rivets

What a great write up..I got started at about 9am and was test driving my '05 by 1pm...4hrs...In my driveway with ramps !! The only 2 parts that were a pain in the a$$ were the drilling rivets (actually one rivet was easy, the other gave me a hard time), and the UUC bushings. I spent about 20 minutes trying to get the bracket over them before i broke out my razor-knife, then in about 2 minutes after chamfering them slightly it slipped right over them (with lube and plier handles).

Also, remember during reinstallation to do the 2 bolts in blue from PIC 5 first before doing the 4 red ones. Step 12 does say to do everything in reverse, but I got mixed up and killed another 10 minutes undoing and redoing. Oh well

As far as the shifter is concerned....IT IS AWESOME !!!!

Lindsay has replacement dust boots.. I think..

Any idea where to get a UUC shifter now days? I've heard a lot of happy people have these but i can't find one for the life of me.

Great instructions but I was able to do the entire job without removing the console. Everything came out fine just with removing the shifter boot. It was a two person install only because of the bolt and nut replacement for the rivets. I can't believe the rediculous instructions that came with the Katech shifter. My install took about an hour. If I would have followed the instruction I'd still be working on it. I will use those instructions when it comes time to replace my clutch!
