Procharger Kit from More Performance Now available

We just finished our Procharger Kit for the 2004 Cadillac CTS-V this morning. We are very happy with the final results on installations. This kit would require installation by our facility with around a 3 day turnaround time. Pricing is $5995.99 with dyno tuning, pcm programming, installation and all fluids included. We are in the process of dynoing the monster. Horsepower numbers will be available within the next 3 hours.

    Amber,

Can the trans and rear survive the new found HP and TQ?

Does this set up have an intercooler?

    What kind of warranty?

Have you solved the wheel hop as of yet?

What else is involved in a S/C upgrade?

I'm sure that any info. would be greatly appreciated by all.

    Chris

Re: Procharger Kit from More Performance Now available

Okay here are preliminary reports as of 9:30pm.

    Run#1
    473RWHP
    468RWTQ

Tuning was done and we started to notice fuel pump issues after this next run.

    Run #4

    460RWHP
    440RWTQ

We have run into some fuel pump issues and decided that an upgraded fuel pump will be required. Good thing we have one here on standby incase this happened and are in the process of changing this now. As for warranty, at this point we have not discussed this but will address the issue first thing in the morning. This will not be an intercooled unit at first. We have measured the intake air temp on all runs with the highest being 179 degrees. If this continues there is no need for intercoolers at this point. Besides, there is not much room to add an intercooler and that will take us some time and modifications. As for wheel hop, we are going to continue investigation on this with our new Procharger on the car and see how much worse it gets. To date there is no one out there who makes shocks for this. We will continue the testing tonight and in the morning and will post graphs, pictures and final results at that time. Anyone interested in this kit should contact us directly. We will be in Atlanta on April 30-May 2 at the NSCA Race with this entering the car show. Anyone in the area is encouraged to stop in.

Wow! impressive numbers, that is about 550-560hp at the flywheel and with no intercooler...Thats a very low 12 sec car.

We changed the fuel pump to an upgraded one this morning and are starting our dyno tuning this morning. We are happy with these results and thank everyone who has shown an interest in this. We are not unhappy about the intercooled unit since the intake air temp is so low. This is a good thing. We have been discussing this warranty issue and anyone who has suggestions, please let us know.

We will be offering along with Procharger, a 1 year-12,000 mile limited warranty. Procharger is offering the warranty on the unit itself and we are offering the warranty on workmanship. We feel that compaired to other shops (Lingenfelter, Motorsport Technologies, ect..) that this warranty is what is needed. We contact several other well known performance shops to get there opinion and they all offer the same warranty that we are going to.

We never got final dyno runs with the updated fuel pump (or a cost for that part, which pump you used, etc) or information on final pricing.

Also, any plans to put an intercooler in, ever?

Re: Procharger Kit from More Performance Now available

What else is there to warrant besides the unit? Pipes don't break. What other modifications does this car have and what were the pre dyno numbers with those mods on the car before tested or are you saying this was a bone stock V with anout 330-340 RWHP and this kit alone brought it to those levels w/out an intercooler? Also with the running out of fuel issue, what was the injector duty cycle on those runs? Thanks

Re: Procharger Kit from More Performance Now available

No pipes do not break. As for the warranty, we are offering the same as what all other performance shops offer. This car to date has many other mods that what it had before. We made 327RHWP on complete stock engine with absolute no modifications. We added our Cold Air Kit and picked up 21HP. Yes we are saying it made that horsepower 490RWHP without anyother modification but the procharger kit itself. No it does not have an intercooler and does not need one. The intake air temps never got above 170 on any of our runs this past week. The fuel issue we had was from 5800 and up and it seamed to just run out of fuel. As for the injector questions, you would have to speak with out tuner. I do not handle that area.

Re: Procharger Kit from More Performance Now available

Good info. The cold air kit helps when you are forcing that much more air in. Did you dyno test the cold air kit before the procharger? The reason I ask the duty cycle on the injectors is because if you are running out of fuel at 5800rpms it gets very dangerous. It is extremely easy to FUBAR a motor by leaning out and if its actually the injectors that do not flow enough, you will have to add a whole new set of injectors to the kit and one injector can cost as much as a fuel pump. Can you list the other mods on the car so we will know exactly what we have to do to reach the 490rwhp threshold with this kit.
