UUC makes whatever I suggest for them to make for the V's. I send them a stock version of what I want improved and parts allowing they come up it. they are a small company and devote a large amount of there time to BMW, that is why they started there company and thats where they make 90% of there profits. I am trying to change the latter number and I think we have some pretty cool ideas for 2008. UUC and I are very pleased and appreciative with the amount of sales we have had this year. allright enough behind the scenes, curtain is back!!

I don't think anyone has ever questioned the quality of UUC or their reputation. (and definitely not yours!) And I'm personally going to wait for their product because I know it'll work. It's just that waiting for something like this that could make a huge difference in the drivability of our cars is like asking a five year old kid to wait until after lunch to open their Christmas presents. :-)
So why is it that the rear bushing is such a pain to change? Is it molded around the cradle more than the front or something? |

cradle bushings
engine mounts
trans mounts
? | K, little confused now. Are the cradle and diff bushings separate parts? I thought they were the same thing.
I was looking for the cradle bushings, but I know a lot of guys are talking about engine mounts.
Luke, any idea on prices (ballpark)?

I don't think I've ever heard of the cradle bushings *failing* so much as they don't locate the cradle positively enough.
Just curious because I would think soft bushings two of the cradle connection points instead of having the same durometer at all four might actually subject the cradle to stresses that it didn't experience when the same (soft) rubber bushings were at all four corners. I'm no design engineer, but my intuition would be that you'd want the same durometer bushings at all 4 connection points, otherwise you'd have more stress on the connection points with the high-durometer bushings in them, and the soft ones wouldn't be taking any of the load.
What comes with the TSB bushings? Just the fronts or all four?

| | Cadillac Owners Connoisseur | | | | | Re: UUC Differential Bushing / Trans Mount / Motor Mount Thread Differential Bushing: There are three points of connection for the differential to the cradle. One in front and two in the rear. The front is being replaced with a higher durometer bushing.
Cradle Bushings: There are four points of connection for the cradle to the unibody, mated by bushings, all of which will be replaced with higher durometer bushings. |

| | Cadillac Owners Member Cadillac(s): All of them | | | | | Re: UUC Differential Bushing / Trans Mount / Motor Mount Thread Exactly. we will have the front differential bushing. the 2 rears have not been looked at and the 4 suspension support mounts are allready available via the GM tsb inserts fix or spectre so we diddnt look at those either. also the actual cradle support mounts are not available to buy sepperately from the support. I am waiting on a call back from UUC to see if they can get me an exact date and to see if it can be sooner than later. |

So I'll still have to get the BMR wheelhop kit or specter inserts.
I have the BMR pinion support, but haven't installed it yet. I know guys have mixed results with it. I'm thinking about installing it first and see how I like it. The pinion support should do the same thing as the UUC bushing,,,,,right? |

Thus the BMR support still needs a decent condition diff bushing behind it.
Mine still clunks in certain situations. The BMR support helped a little, but not completely. |

Dont get the clunk all the time. |

Wonder if the dealer would be able to install the new UUC bushing instead of the factory one because I think I need a new one right now. |
