He said the rattle still noticeable, but not nearly as bad as it was in the first vid and I agreed. He thinks that the problem has to be coming from the H pipe and not the other can, and also said if it's not the H pipe then it could be due to my off road pipes in place of hi flo cats? I'm a little confused on that since there isn't any extra material inside the offroad cats to make them "rattle" like a hi flo cat would if something inside came loose. Replacing one can has reduced the rattle. Then again, maybe it is the H pipe? Their sending one out today and I should have it by friday. I'll try to get it replaced over the weekend and post another update w/ vid. The guys at Corsa are hands down nice guys and want to resolve this just as bad as we do. |

I'll be sure to post my results.

-Chris | Did you go through Corsa for the new cans? or through GM since Lindsay is doing it? if this new H pipe doesn't fix it and Corsa does not want to replace the passenger side can, i may have to go through GM warranty to get it? i just want this issue resolved asap....... |

As far as I know there is no GM warrantee associated with the Corsa, even though they were an 'authorized' option, back in the day.
Bottom line is, the Corsa has a lifetime warrantee, so it shouldn't matter.
I've had this issue for a while. I've had 2 reonators, so unless they are doing a piss poor job of welding there, that's not the issue. I'd keep working with them, it might take a bit of time, but in my experience they have been very resonable, and willing to work with their customers.

did you get both Corsa cans replaced? if so, what's the verdict on your rattle? I recevied my resonator yesterday and will be swapping it out after work, but i have a feeling it's not going to cure it.. |

I've been sick as a dog, and haven't actually checked to see if it's fixed yet . I'll be sure to listen for it as I leave the parking garage today (that's when I can hear it the most.)
I'll let ya know.

I can't tell. My car is making some much racket right now, because of the new cam, that I can't tell for sure if the noise is still there. I don't hear it anymore, but everything else is so loud, that I can't be sure it's gone.
Part of the issue, is my car still has a very rough tune on it, and the car idles right now at 975 rpm's, which in the parking lot, makes it hella loud. Also, it's hunting a bit, so when I', deceling, it doesn;t come down that quick, to produce the 'shreik'.
I'm sceduled to go get fully tuned next wednesday, so I'll report more after that.

Norm | In this case, yes. I now have the most expensive catback in history, which probably netted me a whopping 5 horsepower for around $1,500 after all the switching parts, fabbing and welding . It sure does sound purty, though. |

-Chris | O.K. during the dyno tuning yesterday I was standing behind the car, and it was still rattling . Must be the resonator as well

I'm hoping to get it swapped before I leave for Summit Point next wed/thurs. keeping my fingers crossed again | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
