Great find vettethret! And sorry to steal your thunder... but...
I talked at length to Nick, owner/Head tech guy at Ksport about his kit. And tracked down the shop that did the install on the SEMA car (Chunkybufunky): Apex Motorsports in Tempe, AZ and talked to their owner: Tony and their sales/mkt guy: Jeremy. Great bunch of guys, all of them.
The Kit
The shocks are fully adjustable: Damping is single-adjustable (compression/rebound together) via the top of the shock, load-leveling is gone (no WW spacers needed!) Ride height is adjustable from 1" to 3" drop. The springs however are fixed, they dont use anyone's race spring which would be available in multiple rate, they have their springs custom-made in a fixed rate and length. A few options for stiffer front springs is avialable, but nothing stiffer in the rear is availble. (So i'd call this a 'partial' coil-over setup). According to Apex Motorsports, Eibach racing springs will fit the kit... they had to use stiffer springs for the rear of the SEMA car (due to all the stereo equip. in the trunk), and they used an Eibach race spring in the rear, and left the front stock.
Fitment
For the front, the stock top mount is used. The threaded collar sits at the bottom of the spring (like Ground Control). Ground Control purposely changed the top mount to take some of the rubber pieces out and replace them with stiffer parts to take some of the 'slop' out of the front.
For the rear, the threaded collar sits at the bottom of the spring (opposite of Ground Control).
I'm thinking the GC supplied Eibach Race Spring should work with this kit, as they are 2.5" springs (which is 63.5" inner diameter)
Springs
Front rate: 560lbs/in - 8.07" length - 62mm inner diameter
Rear rate: 420lbs/in - 9.25" length - 62mm inner diameter
So this kit is setup to understeer (Nick said they purposely went for understeer, as it's safer than oversteer). I think the rear rate should be closer to the front (i.e. 600lbs rears with the 560 front), but this could be done via Eibach race springs.
Price & availability
$875 through Apex. K-sport has 10 kits in stock... errr...correction, they now have 9 kits in stock
Summary
I'd say this is a 'milder' kit than the Ground Control setup, front mounts are going to be much softer; and the rear springs are much softer; with a handling emphasis on understeer.
But Dayym! the price is incredible.
So I ordered a set... I'll do a back-to-back comparison with the GC kit and post all the gory details
