I plan on dropping mine 2.25" front and 2.5" rear.
| Here is the SEMA car with this kit w/ 20" wheels... i'm *guessing* this is a 2" drop... The car would look lower if it had 18" wheels: |

UMS Tuning and Apex Motorsports | Jeremy,
Do you have 750lb front 650lb rears available? The car is going down over 2.5" and I want a stiff spring so the wheels aren't jamming up in the wheel wells. |

Although, if I'm not mistaken they won't sell it individually outside of their whole package deal. Hell, I thought Damian was also going to provide a Penske option to get rid of wheel hop, but it seems he went a different route.
Personally, if the Penske setup provided a remedy for the wheel hop, regardless of whether it was 2-3 grand, that would be my first pick. I mean, it kills two birds with one stone - no wheelhop and improved suspension set up - both of which, I want. And even at that price, it's still a couple grand cheaper than the other intensive cradle reworkings, that do truly and completely remove wheelhop (not talking about Kars or BMR here; either the Madman diff - which, in actuality, isn't even available - or Damian's offering).
So, what happened to the Penske option? And does it truly address the wheelhop? Or am I mistaken? C'mon. What's the dildo?

Yea, I know spring rate would work and I remember the Mallet/Penske deal and heard that it worked. I was hoping the manufacturer would answer. |

Depending on how or where you plan on driving I would do some experimenting with spring rates before jumping into 750 front and 650 rear etc. Granted I am running heavy rates, 750 frnt and 800 rear but that combo works gr8. As long as my tire pressure is set right the car doesn't overstear at all.
I have tried my set up 800 frnt and 750 rear before, just yesterday in fact at sears point. Terrible, more dangerous that any set-up I have driven. The car pushed so bad i was 1.5 car lengths out from were I would be with the other set-up. Lap times were at least 10 sec off if not more. In my mind the heavier rated spring goes in back probably up to as much as 1,000# rates. (best guess)
Looks like a gr8 set-up otherwise.
Very clean!
thanks

...still waiting for the magical penske shocks or springs that cure wheel hop... |
