CARB approved Headers

Are the B&B headers and CATs legal in Califoria, or are there any California emissions approved headers?

I know if you had to you could get your stock manifold extrude honed. No way to tell that anything was done.

I don't think there are any aftermarket hi-flow cats that are CARB approved for the V. (I know the Random Tech's aren't).

I'm really glad I don't live in Cali.

I do not *believe* there are any CARB approved headers. Note that I'm not certain about this, but, if I were a betting man, I'd bet serious dinero that there are none.

I'm very confident there weren't any as of, say, 2 years ago and I highly doubt it's been changed since then.

On the flip side of things, I am aware that it often isn't too terribly hard to still have your car smogged even with headers, so I wouldn't shy away from them if you wanted them.

The answer to the question is no. The closest ones I've found are Kooks that are 49 state legal, I think I even read they had a CARB number, but they aren't legal in CA. The only legal headers in CA are shorties which I think are right on the edge of being a waste of money.

In CA the smog test consists of mainly two parts, the sniffer test that measures your emissions, and the visual exam. Long tube headers would fail the visual exam.

CA is too stringent.
