From my understanding, the Corsa catback was a dealer installed option. So who has systems that were installed at the dealer when the car was new? And who had dealers install aftermarket systems for them?
Is the Corsa covered under warranty, since it is a dealer installed option? And has anybody gotten loud exhaust tickets with the Corsa system? If so, did you bitch that it was a dealer installed option? 
Just some stupid questions I was pondering... |

it is a GM authorized product, they sell it on cadillac.com so i would assume it would be.
I know i'm getting my corsa from and installed by Lindsay the beginning of april when i get my remittance check back from work |

I had my Corsa installed by the dealer 3 months after I bought the car (new.)
It is indeed warrentied by GM and, no, it is not too loud to ever be pulled over. I get a lot of compliments on my "V", and one of the most common is how great it sounds - not offensive at all. |

 Cool! If its not asking too much, how much was the product installed at the dealer? If I had it installed by another shop, or by myself, do you guys think I would run into warranty problems? I'm sure it would be much cheaper to have a shop do it, but I think if I want it done right, the dealer is the place to go! |

A Corsa cat back won't get you a ticket. Heck, my Corsa even tames my headers and hi/flo cats!
Now, if I did a 5500 RPM-clutch-dumping holeshot in the police station parking lot ... well, maybe then.

i have resigned to the fact that all this car is getting is exhast shifter and tint...MAYBE a GC kit

Dealer installed my Corsa and Maggie maybe 7 months after I bought the car.

I had mine installed at the dealer after driving it about two weeks (they had to order the exhaust system). It definatly sounded better!! But, after installing the TPIS headers, high flow cats and Maggie it's a bit loud at three quarters to full throttle. Just normal driving and cruising around it's fine though. The thing is, you don't think it's loud (all that sound insulation, I guess) until you hit it with the windows down and sunroof open! |

But I have a feeling that's not the Corsa system. Too cheap! |

Most Gm shops should only charge 1.5 hours for install according to my local dealer. So...capt...they should have this thing for a max of 1680 installed...and thats if they dont cut you a deal on the 1500 for the parts themselves. Gm parts has the corsa listed for 1200.
for the dealers...what is the warranty rule for these parts? I know corsa warrantys the parts but what about install, rattles, thumps, leaks, etc...??? How long will the installing dealer warranty these for? |

Gmgoodwrench accessories link reads the way GMBOUND posted with a part # of 17802046, but the description does not contain Corsa anywhere. The GM Parts Direct website lists the same part number and says "Exhaust System by GM" for $1037.66, but then also has a part number for the "Exhaust System by Corsa" (that RamAir02 posted) as part #14155 for $1072.43 ?!? 
I called the local dealer and the parts guy referred me to the GMgoodwrench site, but he was a little confused and just said whatever is on there is what they have ?!?
Can any of our Cadillac employed friends offer any clarification?
Tony O, James or EW, can you help a confused compadre?
