Most noticable at 60+ mph highway speeds. Not really noticable at slower speeds. Appears to be coming from somewhere on the driver's side of the dash. Wondering if anyone else was running into this issue. Only have 14K miles on my 2005 V, started noticing around 7-8K miles. |

I only had one rattle and it was my speed pass for the tolls on the windshield! If you have one of those in your car, check that because it sounded to me like it was coming from inside the dash as well and it was only one of the suction cups not sucking! Sound like a porno movie eh!? |

Rather than go hunting, I cut a piece of black foam rubber and fitted it between the bottom of the stack and the top of the center console. Ahhh... quiet.

I have got the same HVAC rattle/squeak think. What the heck is causing it. I have found only one other user who has it, and my dealer can't figure it out. It is a total friggin' mystery, but if you put presure on any of a dozen places on the stack you can stop it.
Any ideas on what is causing it?

mine i've noticed is more of a creaking/squeaking noise from the dash. that area right below the speedometer. if i press down on it it'll stop. it's like it's rubbing against something. |

My car is quiet now, but needed the tape to get that way...
Since most of the interior is press it lock connectors, you can press firmly on these panels and possibly reseat them if vibrations have made them loose...
