Finally got around to installing the wideband with the old gauge in the ashtray trick. I've also been wanting to try a weighted shift knob but not for $100+. Waiting for my daughter to finish her dance class this AM so I was browsing AutoZone and found this knob for $20. Plenty heavy, not too wild about the chrome but I was suprised how easily it installed (universal) and how much smoother and effortless the shifting is with my B&M. Probably not the final solution as it seems to have added an inch to the height.
