    Silver Baron,

So far, the only changes that GM has announced slated for the 2005 model year are two new colors which I think are dark red and a charcoal grey.

dont hold me responsible for this... but

words is that cts-v is having a body problem. the car is too fast for its body to handle or something like that. they are working on it right now, and it will be one of the major changes for the 05. havnt heard the details as in exactly what is wrong with the body and what will be changed though.

edit: sorry. not too FAST for its body but too POWERFULL.
edit: they might even have already taken care of the problem.

    evo,

I think someone might have confused this with the rear body-frame change that is "supposedly" taking place which is causing the wheels hop. It's not a torsional rigidity problem, but rather a suspension-to-body mounting design and suspension component change, so I've heard.

I am not under the impression that major changes are in store for 2005 CTS-V. The amount of testing GMPD does on these cars is significant, not only serious and torturous track time, but repetition testing of launches and so on. I'd be suprised if they made a change to suspension components, geometry, or drive angles... they'd have 3500+ owners of the 04 to explain to.

Has GM released any data info regarding changes slated for 2005 like the wheel hop issue or anything else?

A little off topic, but am I the only one who still smiles when I read about Cadillacs with wheel hop problems?

Wheel options. The optional wheels look similar to the Z06 Vet wheels.

It would be nice to put a name on those invisible engineering faces.

Like who is responsible for suspension engineering at GM for the CTS-V for example.

Who is entrusted with the "hop fix"?

It would be great to have them chime in here.

    Re: 2005 Cts-v?

2005 Order guides opened up on Thursday for us. Only change listed is the addition of Stealth Gray. Looks like Redline will be late availability. Also, no 5 speed auto is listed - still only 6 speed.

    Re: 2005 Cts-v?

    Guys,

Anyone know when and where we can get reliable info from GM as to the 2005 CTS-V changes?

    Thanks in advance.
