Talking New V - Intro...

Hello group. Just purchased a Blk CTSV yesterday and I still can't get this silly grin off my face. This car is wicked fun - just what I've been looking for. Last year I thought the answer might be the RX8, and, although I enjoyed that car immensely, I am certainly glad that I took the Mazda buyback offer and through a long tail of searching ended up here.

Sure, the Volvos, Mercedes, and Bimmers seemed nice - but quite frankly, the bold looks of the Caddy and the monster torque (reminds me of that SB426 that I used to have in my '66 Chevy II), excellent handling, and the fact that my wife digs the car and the kids fit in back won me over. I just couldn't resist - and when the wife said "OK" only a day after telling me that the Volvo S60R was the best choice for our family of what she had driven with me, I wasted no time - no sir.

Kills? Not yet - breaking in - but I've played a little. Made my father in law jealous. He's been dreaming of buying a 'vette when he retires (this summer we hope) and just learned he'll be having a left knee replacement in May. When we called to tell him the great news of the new addition to the family named LS6 (they thought we were calling to let them know they were grandparents again, but she's not due for another week or two), well, let's just say he expressed himself well.

Enough rambling. Looking forward to owning and driving this beast for quite some time - and going to give every effort to make it moreso (a beast, that is).

If only I could get this s**t eattin' grin off my face

Enjoy.
