1000HP sounds like a lot but did you know Lund Performance got over 1000 horse power from the little 3.2 V6 CTS engine! He raced it a Bonneville salt flats. |

Semantics, maybe, but when you build an engine it is no longer stock. When you strap on big honkin boost, it is no longer stock. When you lower the suspension it is no longer stock. When you strip out the interior, it is no longer stock. Don't get me wrong. Cudos to them and the speeds they obtained. But, they didn't do it with a stock vehicle.
Rear end? They're not drag racing. They're not road racing. Driving in a straight line @ speed leaves the rear to just handle the RPM's. But I doubt it's stock, either.
BOT, nice rides man. Love the vette. Got the V.

BOT, nice rides man. Love the vette. Got the V.  | They also added weight ballast also in order to reduce high speed "lifting". They also pointed out that the engine was only using moderate boost for those runs and they left a lot still on the table. |
