    C&d Tv - Cts-v

    It's on Spike at 12:30 PM EST & PST Saturday and will be on again at 11:30 AM Sunday. It was quite positive, not as iffy as the print version.

    My buddy has a Mustang GT. After detailing our cars we took had some fun tooling around a vacant office complex. Poor bastard never had a chance.

    I checked on SpikeTV's site and it said 11:30PM East. I'm going to make sure I don't miss this one. I couldn't persuade my VCR to record the Motorweek Report!

    For once C&D had almost nothing but praise for a GM product. You would have thought they were reviewing a BMW or something.

    I agree. The C&D review on TV was full of praise and I was sorry to see it was so short (half the show, but still ).

    Does anyone else find their reviewers annoying on that show? It seems very unpolished and they can barely read from the que cards much less sound conversational. I guess I can just turn the volume off and watch the car dance through the twisties next time.

    I only had two problems with the article. First, why test an M3? A two door coupe vs. a 4 door sedan. Where do you think the crossover shopping would come from? No one looking for an M3 is going to be switching to the CTS-V at the last minute.

    Second, the article states that the CTS-V is "drag limited" at 163. I can assure you that it's not. It pulls very strong up to the electronic cut-off @ 163. My guess is that it is redline and drag limited somewhere around 180 mph.
