So I spent the weekend out at the Grattan Raceway here in Michigan with the West Michigan Porsche Club. What a great time!! The Porsche guys are great and always get a kick out of my Cadillac being at a Porsche event.
The format is one where Friday is for experienced track drivers, Saturday includes beginners (the event is officially a "drivers education" event for insurance reasons), and then Sunday is morning driving and afternoon timed laps. On Friday there were a couple of experienced drivers who were new to Grattan so they asked if I could take them on a parade lap since my car was the only one that could house 5 people
The weather was not great. Friday there was just a little mist in the morning but it rained pretty solid through the noon hour so the early afternoon laps were on a very wet track but it had dried out a bit by later in the afternoon. I decided not to go on Sunday (today) since it looked pretty rainy. It was pretty cool out both days also (ranging from high 50's to high 60's)
My car ran great. I've got some video's that I need to have someone host with the Maggie just screaming.

Unfortunately (or fortunately in light of the rain) my GC springs did not come in early enough for me to install prior to the event.
I'm very pleased with the Falken tires. The grip was great when dry and much better in the rain than the F1's or S-03's I'd had before. Additionally, there is still tread left on them!!!!

Part of that might be a function of me being easier on them because my driving is improving but they just look so much better than either of the other sets I've driven on in past years at this event.
If you haven't had your V out to a road course you owe it to your self to give it a try!!
