CAR Motorsports is pleased to announce that we are now embroidering your CTS V Headrest Covers with the V logo. We are a GM Licensed retailer of premium quality automotive accessories, including floor mats, car covers, steering wheel covers, dash covers, and NOW we bring our high quality digitization and commercial/professional embroidery to your head rest covers. The process involves shipping your covers to us (at the address on the order form we provide). To obtain the order form (WORD Document), please provide your email address. We tried to attach the word document, but were not successful. Once received, please complete the order form and ensure that it is packed with your headrest covers.

PLEASE purchase appropriate insurance to cover your headrest covers in the event of loss in shipment to us. WE ARE NOT responsible for covers lost while in transit to us. Our shipping includes insurance to cover loss in transit to you from us. We recommend purchasing $600 total insurance as the covers list price from GM is $140 each ($560 for all four). Pricing is as follows:

$189.95 plus $9.95 shipping for 4 covers.
$129.95 plus $9.95 shipping for 2 covers.

BTW that is very, very cool, but it would be hard for me to be without my headrests for 2-3 weeks.

Has anyone had this done on the cashmere interior? I really like how this looks on the black but not sure it would look so good on the cashmere

Some "how to pics" for ya.

Step 1: remove headrest from car

Step 2: insert finger into opening, pull upward on the center section of material.

Step 3: pull up on the side pieces

Step 4: pull the last remaining section

Step 5: remove the mechanical assembly from the headrest

Step 6: remove plastic encased foam from headrest

Step 7: reassmble in the reverse order

You also can order an extra set of covers from a place like gmpartsdirect.com (or Lindsay Cadillac) and send them off to have the work done. That way you don't go without and have a "clean" set to put on the car if needed.

Rear headrests pull out of seatbacks easily. Is there a trick to pulling out the front seat headrests ? Non-removeable ? Thanks, FXF

I can't edit my first post to add the new pics, I'll try again later.

Until then,
there is a latch inside both holes. one uses the button, the other needs a paper clip or something small. While pushing in on the paperclip, pull the headrest up.

The front headrest cover is a little different than the rear as it only has 2 pieces that snap in, and its a little difficult to get them back in. The best way is to push them in as best you can at the same time.

Thanks, the paperclip does the trick on the front headrests.

Also , my wife used her sewing machine to stitch up some temporary headrest covers using some leftover fabric. Took her about 5 minutes and actually looks pretty good. May be a new side business ! "Fabric of your choice".

I used to work for Klaussner Furnitrue, and I could get just about any kind or color fabric you wanted. I actually have a couple different colors of pseudo-suede, similar to our seat inserts, in my building. May be something to look into.

Now that I think about it, I may change the color of the seat inserts. I have a dark blue that would look awesome with the black leather. I'll have to look around the car and see if it goes with everything.
