    V by the numbers

I think this is official. Reed if you are good with this??
I got this from the person who took over for Maureen Bickford who set up our V on line chat some time ago.

Im sure GM isnt happy with the numbers but I am. This confirms what I originally heard in that less than 2500 '04s were made. Now that is exclusive territory!!

    Mr. Mogavero,
I replaced Maureen as the Marketing Analyst a few months ago. She
forwarded me your email and asked that I reply to your request. I can not
provide the 2006 numbers as of yet but will be able to when the sales
conclude later this year. Hope this helps fulfill your need.
    MY 2004 CTS-V total = 2461, retail = 2454, fleet = 7.
    MY 2005 CTS-V total = 3508, retail = 3483, fleet = 25

Mine's gonna be a collector car soon. I'm gonna restore it to factory stock and put it into a Barret-Jackson auction....someday. 'Til then I'll live with huge depreciation and increasing mods.

    Re: V by the numbers

Wow, thought there were more made, not that I see them around. I'm really glad the number is low and want it to stay that way. Nothing like having a rare car. You see how many Mustangs, Vette's & BMW's are out there? For a Vette you pretty much need a Z06 to stand out these days.

    Re: V by the numbers

Thanks lasstss! Much lower production numbers than I thought.
Maybe I should put a plate next to the GM Performance Division plate that says '1 of 2461 produced'. I believe I'll go out to the garage and give her another coat of Zaino.

    Re: V by the numbers

I have asked the same person to qualify the numbers to see if that includes Canada and export. If it does, very exclusive territory indeed!

The difference is inventory change...which I doubt is more than 5% delta...seeing inventory was 0 at the start of the 04MY. Either way, we're in a much more exclusive club than I imagined.
