According to the December 2005 edition of SportsCar, the current record holder on the 12.9-mile, 73-turn Nordschleife course is Michael Vergers in a Radical SR-8. The Radical SR-8 is powered by a 2.6 liter, 360 HP V8. And check this out.... he was on Dunlop Direnza street tires! Lap time 6:55.
