Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

Remove this ad
Well being a fully happy Stealth-V customer and not really saying much about it lately, I figured the time was right..
As you all know I have run a best of 12.91 at over 109 mph with just the basic Performance bolt ons (Full B&B exhaust, and lingenfelter cai... and the Stealth-V tune) And with the BMR suspension parts and drag radials..
Not to bad at all I think.. My local track is still open for a couple more weeks and as soon as I get the new B&B longtube headers on I will be going back to the track and trying to break into the 12.7 range. I think the car can do it with just these few mods, and the biggest part of the mods that makes this all possible is the Stealth-V tune..
Everyone has the right to try what ever tune you want, I have tried a couple tunes from another well known tuner and it didn't compare to what Rick has been able to do with the calibrations. He does know his shit!!!!
Also a few more reason to go Stealth-V power...
Enjoy...
Bill

A valet swith in the tune..

And the Stealth (in more than one way) shift light...

And not to mention she is Dyno proven...

And of course she is track proven... The night she ran 12.91 at 109.34

Re: Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

I am so with you HDMLNIUM!
I dont have a tune but can taste the sweet flavour.

A couple of Qs:

1: I know about the "Valet limiter" but how exactly does it work
2:Where's that tc button & on/off switch??
3: I know about the shift light in the tune but do you have to install the actual light??

thx

Re: Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

let me help.

1: You get to choose RPM or speed limit and the engine will cut out fuel at that limit (do you want tecnical details on exactly what is happening: ask stealthv)
2: In the glove box
3: Yes. its not very difficult and you can use ANY 12 volt LED.

Re: Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

VERY clean installs!!! I love the VM switch in the glove box...you can set it, lock the glove box, and thieves really could never find/access it. I put mine down on the kick panel. Set her every time i park her

Re: Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

Do you need to purchse the switch for valet mode or is it reused from some where else?

You need to buy the Valet switch and a LED for the shift light. Then wire them from the pcm to were ever you decide to mount them..

Re: Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

The "valet mode" can be setup to be used as:

1. An "anti-theft" (hidden switch which activates a zero mph & idle rpm limiter)
2. A "two-step" drag racing lauch aid (flip the switch, hold the gas pedal to the floor & the rpm is held at the desired launching rpm, i.e. 3000. At launch, release the clutch and flip off the switch)
3. A "valet mode" (hidden switch which activates a 30 mph & 2000 rpm limiter)
4. As a "teenager mode" (keyed switch activaates a 60 mph @ 2500 rpm limiter)

The mph and rev limiters can be set independently from each other from 0 to 255 mph and idle to 8000 rpm to make any combination of functions. There are most likely additional ways the secondary limiters could be setup - use your imagination!

Re: Another Reason to get a Stealth-V tune

I actually hooked mine up using a keyed switch.. That way even if the valet finds it, no fun for him... RPM and speed limiting...

Now, i just need to be in town long enough to connect the damn wires.

Rick, Still working on that page for ya too...
