those tires would look tiny. they are about an inch smaller in diameter. go to 1010tires.com for their tire size calculator and see for yourself. you will have to lower your car to make it look right or suffer the the ****** curse.
275/40's yeah and I've never heard anyone say they rub. It does seem like everyone that puts them on goes to aftermarket rims or has the factory ones made wider.

If you're going 275 in back and stay with the stock rim, you'll have to have the rim widened. I had Eric Vaughn add .75 inches per Dreamin's specification, to wind up with 9.25 overall. It rubs the control arms a bit, even with 1/8" spacers.
How many threads are there on tires around here? Today I installed 275/40/18 BFG KD's on the stock rims. No rub in the rear. We had to use a 3 mm spacer in the front to clear.

One guy in the know told me they would definately crown, sounds like what lasstss thinks also. I'm going for it anyway. I ordered the 275's today. If they wear quickly then maybe I'll replace them with 245's after they wear out. It's only money right?
well, should you decide to buy some 19s, i have a brand new set of Toyo T1Ss up in my attic, collecting dust, FS CHEAP .
alas, i don't thnk you like asian tires
The sizing works out great to have the 245's up front and 275 in the back. It looks good that way too, very obvious the meat is in the back. It works well. No rubbing.
295s fit on the back, that is known. The question for me is 275s on front - people say they've done yet no one ever shows proof...I want 275s on all four corners...
I've seen too many cars where the front tires "fit" and then after a few thousand miles it becomes apparent that they don't fit with some spirited driving. Stock 245's is fine for me.
Now as to how my 275's will wear on the stock rims, that's going to be interesting. If they crown and wear out after 5k miles I suppose it's not much worse than the run flats.
If people say they have put 275s on the front with stock rims (prove it) then I will purchase/or have made the proper width rim and use 275s. It is the physical tire clearance upfront that is my concern.
295s will clear on the rear with a 10" wide wheel. :duck:
Yeah I get that you want the 275's up front and that 295's are possible in the rear. I just missed that we went off topic "whats the widest tire i can put on stock rim"
I don't think you are getting 275's up front even with aftermarket stuff or we would have seen pics by now. Even if we got pics, I'd want pics with the tire off the car after 2k miles.
275s on front are possible with Mallett's $6k package.
I'll find a different way...
